Dr. Katelyn Pembroke was raised on the southeast coast of Florida in a small town called Stuart. She began venturing to the Upstate area shortly after completing dental school and soon fell in love with the area. It wasn’t long before she knew she wanted to relocate to make a home and practice dentistry in Greenville.
Dr. Katelyn attended Auburn University in Alabama, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Sciences. She then moved home to Florida and attended the University of Florida College of Dentistry to receive her Doctorate of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Katelyn first realized her passion for Pediatric Dentistry while on a mission trip in the Dominican Republic in her fourth year of dental school. This passion was reinforced when she began volunteering for a non-profit dental clinic for underprivileged children in her hometown during her first year practicing dentistry. She went on to serve as the full-time dentist at the clinic for two years before moving to Greenville. Dr. Katelyn believes that teaching children the skills to maintain a healthy mouth from a young age sets them up for a lifetime of successful dental health. Her gentle, compassionate approach helps put children at ease, making dental visits a fun, positive experience.
When not in the office, Dr. Katelyn enjoys spending quality time with her husband, Alex, and their son, Xander. The family loves hiking, exploring the beauty of the Upstate, and enjoying the great outdoors. As a Florida girl at heart, Dr. Katelyn tries to soak in as much sunshine as she can! Dr. Katelyn is proud to be a member of the Apple Seeds Family, and looks forward to helping patients and families achieve healthy, beautiful smiles.
