Dr. Lisa M Cherry was born in Wisconsin and recently moved to Greenville, South Carolina, to be near family. She met her husband, Dr. Brian Cherry, a native of Geer, SC, during her pediatric residency in Boston, Massachusetts. They were married in 2007 and moved to Columbia, SC to begin their dental careers in pediatric dentistry and oral surgery, respectively. In September 2010, they were blessed with their first child, Elizabeth Kay Cherry and are expecting another blessing in August 2012.

Dr. Cherry loves to be a “mommy”. Motherhood has impacted her life both personally and professionally. She enjoys playing in the park, reading the bedtime stories, and best of all learning from her daughter about everyday life through her eyes. In addition to spending her time here in Greenville, she enjoys traveling to Wisconsin, Boston, and Charleston, to see family and friends. Dr. Cherry feels very fortunate to have so many wonderful people in her life especially Brian, her loving husband, best friend, partner, and devoted father.

Dr. Cherry is a graduate of the University of Eau Claire-Wisconsin with a BS in Biology. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Marquette University and completed an advanced education in a general dentistry residency at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Cherry realized her passion for children’s dentistry within the first year of general practice and pursued an opportunity at the Champaign Urbana Public Health District serving as the Director of Dental Health and practicing dentist for children in the community. Recognizing the limitations of her practice, Dr. Cherry continued her education and training in pediatric dentistry at Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. She is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist and a member of the American Association of Pediatric Dentistry, American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, South Carolina Pediatric Dental Association, College of Diplomats, American Dental Association, and South Carolina Dental Association.
